Amazon sent me an e-mail today letting them know that my order had been sent. Yippee!
In addition to Wake, I also ordered Puddle Of Mudd's latest CD, Famous. It was released last year (on my girl's birthday, what a coincidence) and I remember reading about it but I never heard any of the tracks on the radio. Odd.
Anyway, I was listening to Time Flies on my Zune (I have mad love for this song) and it made me think of them so I went to Amazon and added their CD to my order. The only song that I know from this release is Psycho and that's because my girls heard it and wanted to know if I had it on any of my CD's. I have their other two CD's and I like them both, so we'll wait and see how this one fares.
Now, back to the Gale!
I love the skeptical look on Gale's face in this picture. I imagine he looked a lot like this when FOX was explaining to him why it made sense to kill off their leading man seven episodes into the the first season of Vanished. Bastards!
One last musical observation: The song White, Discussion by Live from their CD Throwing Copper is made of WIN.
That's all :)

Historic Gale
“He's breaking new ground for bringing sexuality to a performance, and not just gay sexuality. I don't think any other actor has ever done what he's doing. I think it's kind of historic.” ~ Ron Cowen on Gale
On my LJ f-list there's a user that posts "Of the day quotes, pics and songs" and the other day she posted this quote about Gale. Then, this picture popped up yesterday on my Gale Harold Google alert.
I thought they made a good match.

Showing my Gale love
Hmmmm...I have a decision to make. What Gale purchase should I make tomorrow?
For only $12.97 I can buy the Wake DVD
OR
Ror $29 I can order this fashionable Gale t-shirt so I can publically display my Gale love.
I'm leaning towards the DVD right now because I have a freaking huge electric bill due (thank you state of Texas).
And why would I spend my money on Gale products? Because Gale is
LOL! How can you not love that face???
Happy Thursday Gale fans.

Gale news is hard to come by :(
This little message popped up as part of my Gale Harold Google alert.
The season premiere will begin filming on July 7. Season 5 will have 24 episodes.
Cast members known to be returning include Teri Hatcher (Susan); Felicity Huffman (Lynette); Marcia Cross (Bree); Eva Longoria Parker (Gabrielle); Nicollette Sheridan (Edie); Brenda Strong (Mary Alice); Doug Savant (Tom); Ricardo Antonio Chavira (Carlos); Shawn Pyfrom (Andrew); Kyle MacLachlan (Orson); Dana Delany (Katherine); and James Denton (Mike).
Bree's well on her way to becoming the next Martha Stewart.
Edie returns to Wisteria Lane, having also gone through significant change as well.
Susan has a new man, played by Gale Harold.
Many people have emailed me wondering about Susan's relationship with her new man, who may or may not be named Ken. I don't know anything about their relationship beyond the fact that they have one. It then goes on to detail the history of Susan and Mike's relationship and in doing so leaves no doubt that Desperate Housewives is indeed a soap opera. No one's life is that fucked-up.

And in keeping with the "Gale on TV" theme, here's a couple of pics from the 2001 TV guide article on Queer As Folk.
Talk about pushing my "Brian and Justin" button.

The lip bite thing
Oh my poor blog. I have been forgetting to update you lately.
I was at the Gale Harold Italian website the other day and ran across a bunch of the publicity photos from Suddenly Last Summer. I kind of liked this one.
He's doing the infamous lip-bite. Only, it looks more like a lip "lock down".
I tried to access the Italian site a few minutes ago to look for another pic and the site wasn't found. I think they've been having server problems lately, at least that's what I remember reading on the IMDB boards a few weeks ago. I certainly hope it's temporary because they have a gazillion pics of Gale.

IMDB is my guilty pleasure
Last week a thread was started on Gale's IMDB board by someone who saw him at a movie theater holding hands with a girl (presumably on a date). It set off quite a stir, most interestingly one that called into question the truth of the original poster. Evidently, because the OP didn't intrude on Gale's private time or space to take a picture to share with the rest of the world that meant that they were lying. Many pages of posts followed in defense of and in condemnation of the original post.
And then, two days ago, someone posted that "yes, Gale has a girlfriend and that he was at that particular theater because he lived in the neighborhood and it's all perfectly normal because this IS hollywood after all and it's common to see celebs all time."
One person responded with a post asking them to share the details.
And then...nothing.
For almost twenty four hours. Not one other person said "Wait a minute. How the hell do you know such personal stuff and why aren't you filling us in with all of the details??????"
I am SO disappointed with you IMDB Gale fanatics. You let a golden opportunity fall through your fingers.
Oh well.
It's rare that I find a picture of Gale that I haven't seen before. Most of the Gale sites are plastered with every pic ever taken of him. This is undoubtly several years old; but, he looks good so I'm posting it :)

Busy boy
Gale is definitely getting around.
First, last week's post and subsequent buzz about a Gale and a date at the movies sighting on the IMDB boards which threw some people into a frenzy. They're a very amusing (and sometimes mean and nasty) bunch of people.
Then, his profile was updated to show that he's in a small indie film called "Passenger Side" that just finished post-production work at the end of May. It think it's supposed to be shown at a film festival but I can't remember where and I'm to lazy to look right now :)
So Go Gale! *shakes her fangirl pom-poms*
I hope this is the start of a steady work (read "picture laden") time for him. I NEED SOME NEW GALE PICS, yo!
I'm just saying.
This pic popped up on my f-list yesterday. It's pretty old (maybe 5 years?) but it makes me laugh anyway.

Redneck Gale
So I watched The Unseen last night. I was pleasantly surprised. There were several of what I call "cringe worthy" moments, due to (over)acting, cheesy dialog and various southern accents being used but overall, I'll definitely be watching it again soon.
Visually, it was a stunning movie. The small, southern Georgia town that served as a backdrop was truly beautiful. One of my favorite scenes was the shot of the barb wired fence.
I was really surprised by Gale's performance, especially when you contrast it with the behind-the-scenes documentary that I found on you tube. He's so quiet and soft-spoken and almost uncomfortably shy when talking about his role in the movie and yet when you watch the movie he's very, very believable as an explosive and violent red neck with a haunting secret from his past.
It also stars Steve Harris (from The Practice) and Catherine Dent (from The Shield)who I think is a stunning woman. Michelle Clunie (Mel from Queer As Folk) plays Gale's love interest Kathleen in the movie, which is amusing because on QaF she and Brian spend most of their time on screen warring with one another. She was quite adorable in a white-trash, southern girl, kind of way.
I'm a huge fan of scruffy!Gale. I can't help it; it's the hillbilly in me.
A short behind-the-scenes documentary from you tube which includes the movie trailer.
If you like Gale at all then I'd definitely say it's worth your time to watch The Unseen.

Fangirls rule
I got a gift in the mail today from another very generous Gale fangirl. We were chatting about our love of Gale and the movies he's made and I mentioned that the only one I had was Particles Of Truth (which he is spectacularly beautiful in but I found the movie a little weird) and she said "Hey, how about I send you a copy of The Unseen?"
I squeed like a teenage girl.
Went to mailbox today and what do I find? Offerings of the Gale love
Plus, she sent me a sweet little Gale postcard that had another picture of him that I've never seen before.
Life is pretty damn good!

Ask and you shall (occasionally) receive
Remember how on my last post I was lamenting the fact that there are no new pictures of Gale? Weelllll, I pulled up my LJ f-list and what's the first post I see?
OMG new (to me anyways) pics of Gale!
Okay, so they're not "brand new". They're publicity stills from his movie with Fay Ann Lee called Falling For Grace. Maybe one day it will get a distributor and then all of us fangirls who don't live anywhere near the festivals that Fay is showing her film at will finally get a chance to see Gale on the big screen.
The man is so breathtakingly beautiful it hurts.
