My favorite Jack Conte videosong-Impression
I sing and hum this to myself all day long. Plus, there's the random flailing arms of enthusiasm at the end of the vid, which never fails to make me smile.
(I finally rememberd how to embed a video. Time away from my blog had an adverse effect of my skills, man.)

Jack Conte
I discovered Jack Conte, internet musician, several weeks ago and I am completely in love with his music and his videos on youtube. Plus, he's incredibly adorable, with his flailing arms of enthusiasm.
His videosongs are made in a room in his house and he plays every single instrument used in the song, including a teeny tiny paino that I'm sure has some kind of official name, which is not teeny-tiny piano. Not only do you get to watch him make music, there's occasionally a little random add-on at the end of the song.
On his youtube acocunt, he's posted the 2 rules for his videosongs:
1. What you see is what you hear (no lip-syncing for instruments or voice)
2. If you hear it, at some point you see it (no hidden sounds)
He's phenomenal and you can find him here.
He's also got a myspace page and he has a music store where you can buy his mp3s. I recommend the big red "Buy Everything" button-all of the vid songs and his two EPs for $15. It's a fantastic deal.
Go. Listen. Watch. Buy.

Gale!
Look what I just found! Gale will be performing in a play in Los Angeles from January 15 to Febuary 21.
What an awesome birthday present it would be if I could fly there and see the play. Alas, it will never happen, so I'm going to have to count on the Gale fans on my journal flists to keep me updated.

Oh blog...
How I've missed you! Can you belive that I was so busy that I actually forgot you were here? I know, hard to believe, right?
So now I will try to update you more frequently and with some of my new interests:
Leverage, and the awesomeness that is Christian Kane and Aldis Hodge.
Sons of Anarchy, which just finished it's second season.
and my current obsession and the object of all of fangirl attention-Supernatural
And lastly, my current musical obsession-TOOL
How I have not managed to burn a hole in my 10,000 Days CD is a mystery.
So that's where I've been and what I've been doing.

Look who's back!
Gale, and me, with an update.
Only, I'm not kidding myself. Gale is way more important.
Doesn't he look great.

Recent Gale interview
Hello blog! Long time, no update :(
There's a new interview with Gale and as usual, he looks great and talks a little bit about his accident and, more importantly, his motorcycle. The man's got his priorities. I'm just glad to see him healthy and working.
There's also a print interview where Neal McDonough talks about Gale's fate on DH. The article's not an "official" statement, so we'll see what happens.
The pics a repeat but it's Gale, and he's bears repeating.
Looks like I'll be setting my DVR again Sunday night.

Welcome Back Not-So-Elusive Gale!
Damn, but looks good! Great in fact. Access Hollywood interviews Gale about returning to the set of Desperate Housewives, his accident and the reason Jackson's back.
Go revel in the fantasticness that is Gale Harold and watch as he skillfully sidesteps the seriousness of his accident.
Oh Gale, it's so good to see you back. And he's totally rocking the SLS look!
Same hair, same shirt color, same fabulous GALE!
*does a happy dance*
ETA: How did I miss this????? Gale talks to TV Guide.

A Good Gale Day
YAY!!!!!
Gale was interviewed by a German TV station (around ep.502) for the promos in Germany. It's so good to hear his voice. Well, his most recent voice.
Couple that with the Gale's out and about sighting at the San Francisco premier of Scott Walker: 30 Century Man, and I'm starting to feel like a happy fangirl again :)
Gale turned up at the premier wearing one of his trademark hats, so in keeping with the dress code, I went to my "Gale in hats" folder on my hard drive (Shut up! All good fangirls should have various folders loaded with lots of Gale pics.) and snagged a few pics from the play "Uncle Bob", in which Gale co-starred.
Happy, smiling Gale is always a good thing to see!
p.s. See the sunglasses hanging in his shirt? I have a folder for that as well.

Good Gale news
Here's the latest Gale buzz making it's way around the net, courtesy of TVGuide.com.
A couple of the more relevant parts:
"We are working on bringing him back to the show. We just don't know when," Housewives producers say in a statement to TVGuide.com. "Because we had to work around his absence, the story doesn't require him immediately. But we would like to have him back on the show very soon."
So would his fans. But, it gets better:
As Harold continues to recuperate fully from his accident, rumors have swirled that he might not ever return to Housewives, or at least not until next season. Rebuffing such buzz, his spokesperson assures us, "Gale is terrific," adding, "He's the Gale we know and love."
And the very best part:
Similarly, Housewives producers described Harold's recent drop-by as "fantastic," saying, "He looks great, he's completely himself and we had a wonderful time."
Could you ask for any better news on a Thursday afternoon? I don't think so.
Gale's deciding what to wear when he comes back.
Hmmmmm...let's see. The one that looks like outdated wallpaper?
Nah.
How about the blue "have you seen my bong?" ensemble?
No?
*My personal favorite, the white robe*
Look's like it's gonna be the plain white henley.
Although, judging from the look on his face, I bet he's wishing he'd chosen the robe. So much easier to put on.
