As Teri Hatcher's new leading man, the actor--best known as gay horndog Brian Kinney on Queer as Folk--plays the painter with an easy egoless sensuality and an achy-breaky heart. At first, he didn't mind that bitter love-burned Susan only wanted sex, but he soon yearned to meet her son and her friends and even tried to bust her with a public--and very embarrassing--karaoke rendition of the Ramones' "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend". When she refused to enter into a committed relationship, he got so hurt he rebounded with some tart he picked up in a bar. Zero or hero? We're not quite sure what to make of Jackson. Even his recently revealed big secret threw us for a loop. It turns out he's actually--gasp--a portrait painter with a creative block. Whaat? He's not nuts or evil like so many other mystery men on Wisteria Lane? Once Harold returns from his October motorcycle accident, Jackson could be Susan's dream man--if only she'd wake up and realize it.
